FORGIVENESS

.       This is one thing that is hard to do yet essential.

I know sometimes it’s to hard to forgive due to the weight of the wrong done by your neighbor but we actually do need to forgive..

Don’t be angry with each other, but forgive each other. If you feel someone has wronged you, forgive them. Forgive others because the Lord forgave you.

Colossians 3:13 ERV

How many times do we need to. Forgive?

Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, when someone won’t stop doing wrong to me, how many times must I forgive them? Seven times?” Jesus answered, “I tell you, you must forgive them more than seven times. You must continue to forgive them even if they do wrong to you seventy-seven times.

Matthew 18:21‭-‬22 ERV

     Keep forgiving
One way to help forgive is to confess the wrong to each other. Tell your neighbor how he or she wronged you.

“Don’t secretly hate any of your neighbors. But tell them openly what they have done wrong so that you will not be just as guilty of sin as they are. Forget about the wrong things people do to you. Don’t try to get even. Love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.

Leviticus 19:17‭-‬18 ERV

The reason why it’s hard to do all this, is because we focus so much on our selves, we focus so much on how bad the person is and what he or she has done. And it hurts us the most. In this way it’s really hard to forgive. Or even forget.

I will give an example, I asked one of my friends a question.

What would she do if she caught the husband in the same bed with another woman?

Woow haha she actually didn’t reply, she just screamed and told me there are things she even can’t Imagine happening, like she would kill the guy bla…bla..

That’s what am saying , we these days forgive according to the weight of the deed. If it’s huge, then no forgiveness.

The Bible is clear when it says

Forgive others because the Lord forgave you.

Colossians 3:13 ERV

Meaning don’t forgive according to the weight of the deed but forgive because you too were forgiven.

If you can’t forgive your wife because you caught her with another guy, you forget that God calls a prostitute because you sin against him.

But you have been unfaithful to me, family of Israel! You have been like an unfaithful wife who leaves her husband.

Jeremiah 3:19‭-‬20 ERV

But he still forgives you a d calls you his wife.

“People of Israel, you are unfaithful to me, but come back to me. Come back and I will forgive you for being unfaithful. “Just say, ‘Yes, we will come back, because you are the Lord our God.

Jeremiah 3:22

If God can forgive your unfaithfulness why can’t you forgive your neighbor after that big wrong deed.

Remember FORGIVE BECAUSE GOD FORGAVE YOU.

Before you fail to forgive , first understand how God forgave you.

Actually if he didn’t forgive you wouldn’t be alive. So why can’t you forgive however big the deed is.

There is no gain in breakups or divorce.

God wants peace to dwell among us.

Be careful as you say this prayer always.

Forgive our sins, just as we have forgiven those who did wrong to us.

Matthew 6:12

If you don’t forgive, then no forgiveness for you.

Yes, if you forgive others for the wrongs they do to you, then your Father in heaven will also forgive your wrongs. But if you don’t forgive others, then your Father in heaven will not forgive the wrongs you do.

Matthew 6:14‭-‬15 ERV.

And forgiving means mending back the relationship not remaining apart, talking again.

If you say you forgave but don’t wanna talk to that person, then you never forgave

WHAT IS THE TRUE RELIGION.

well
. According to the dictionary, It’s

1: A strong belief in a supernatural power or powers that control human destiny •

2: An institution to express belief in a divine power.
But what about according to the Bible?
If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person’s religion is worthless. Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.

James 1:26‭-‬27 ESV
It really doesn’t matter whether you are a moslem, Catholic, protestant or adventist . It really doesn’t matter.

What matters is this. Bridle your tongue, visit orphans and widows in their afflictions and keep yourself unstained from the world.
Let’s talk. About these.

1. Bridle your tongue.

 This means controlling your tongue.
For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body. If we put bits into the mouths of horses so that they obey us, we guide their whole bodies as well. Look at the ships also: though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs. So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire! And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God. From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.

James 3:2‭-‬10 ESV

2: Visit orphans and widows in their afflictions.

This ain’t talking about only orphans and the windows.

This is to be done out of love. Don’t give out of compulsion,

that your goodness might not be by compulsion but of your own accord.

Philemon 1:14 ESV
You can’t do that unless you love your neighbor as you love your self.

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

John 13:34 ESV

As you give. Imagine your self in the shoes of the orphan.

Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

Matthew 25:34‭-‬40 ESV
When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “One thing you still lack. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”

Luke 18:22 ESV
Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors God

Proverbs 14:31 ESV

3: keeping yourself unstained from the world.

Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever?

2 Corinthians 6:14‭-‬15 ESV
So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. Have nothing to do with foolish, ignorant controversies; you know that they breed quarrels.

2 Timothy 2:22‭-‬23 ESV
Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”

1 Corinthians 15:33 ESV
But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,

Philippians 3:20 ESV

Well the three things look to be simple to do by your own but it’s impossible. You need God’s help. For example the Bible says it’s impossible to. Anyone to tame the tongue.

What is to be done, then, to tame the tongue? If God has declared that “no one” can tame the tongue, how can we even begin to do so? While many people have quit smoking or drinking by the power of the human will, the problem of the heart and tongue cannot be solved by human will power. It takes the power of the resurrected Christ within us to control the tongue, and that power is available only to those who turn their lives over to Him (Romans 8:10–14). As with so many things in life, “with men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26).

So though the Bible says that

If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person’s religion is worthless. Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.

James 1:26‭-‬27 ESV

It does look simple but it’s impossible without Christ.

So the Bible is indirectly saying that

THE BEST RELIGION IS THE ONE WITH JESUS.

But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

John 1:12‭-‬13 ESV

Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

John 3:3‭, ‬5 ESV

So about being a moslem, a Catholic, protestant or adventist etc.

First get Jesus in your life and then he will lead you into. The right religion. He’s kingdom

BOY~GIRL RRELATIONSHIPS

Having a boy friend or girlfriend? Wow.

It’s really hectic.

This is one thing that ain’t easy to handle very few youths are in healthy relationships.

Being in a relationship ain’t bad but try and wonder is this relationship helping you grow spiritually, physically, academically or mentally?

If not, I suggest you roll out smartly.

It’s really a temptation you can’t handle by your self. You need God’s grace and most surprisingly, God himself says the same thing.
So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.

2 Timothy 2:22 ESV
So you see that God himself says run away from these temptations.

I ain’t saying break up but avoid anything that leads the both of you to sin against God.
Try and ask yourself, do you love each other really with the love of Christ or you guys are just kidding around

Check this out,

Husband’s!

Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church,

Ephesians 5:25‭, ‬28‭-‬29 ESV
Now this is clear.

Love her as though you were Christ loving his beloved church at that moment. Meaning Christ’s love for the church should be the perfect model for your love.

Think about it , Christ died for the church , so are you ready to die for each other?
Wives!

Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands.

Ephesians 5:22‭, ‬24 ESV
Aha. Submit. A relationship can never really work without humility in it. If both of you a short term tempered, just know it’s like couple that both are sick of sickle cells.

Humility is key.
If you are in a relationship just get serious with it. Avoid temptations, if it’s hard then leave it, it’s

Better to enter the kingdom of God with one eye.

Then love each other with the love of Christ. Are you ready to. Die for her or all you want is set?

One of the ways Christ expressed his love to the church is

that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.

Ephesians 5:26‭-‬27 ESV
Wash with the word. Have you done that.

Let me be open here.

Your relationship ain’t gonna last you let God’s word dwell in the both of you. Discuss on it, sing it, let it build up the relationship with it the temptations will grow strangely dim.
And aim at marriage. God hates breakups just like he hates divorce.

If you ain’t planing to be together till marriage, then that’s unhealthy, you are surely doing something pleasing to your passions.

One thing I can’t miss. I know this is hard to believe but it’s a fact. It’s called fornication. You don’t want believe but guess what, it’s a sin.

Sex before marriage is bad.

“Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food”—and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never! Or do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, “The two will become one flesh.” But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him. Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

1 Corinthians 6:13‭, ‬15‭-‬20 ESV

Counsel on control of passions

A man desires anything inordinately, at once he becomes restless. A proud and avaricious man is never at rest; but a poor and humble man enjoys the riches of peace.

A man who is not yet perfectly dead to Selfish is easily tempted, and is overcome even in small and trifling things. And he who is weak in Spirit, and still prey to the senses and bodily passions, can Only with great difficulty free himself and is quickly angered when anyone opposes him. If he obtains what he desires, his conscience is at once stricken by remorse, because he has yielded to his passion, which in no way helps him in his search for peace. True peace of heart him in his search for peace, not by yielding to them. There is no peace in his heart of a worldly man, who is entirely given to Outward affairs ;but only in a feverent , spiritual man.

THE IMITATION OF CHRIST

Thomas A Kemphis

CHRISTIANS CALLED SINNERS

ARE CHRISTIANS CALLED SINNERS
What is sin?

Sin” is any thought, word, or action that is contrary to the character or law of God. We all sin (Romans 3:23), and even what we consider good deeds are often tainted by selfish motives or pride (Isaiah 64:6). Left to ourselves, it is impossible to please God or to be completely free from sin (Romans 3:10; Ecclesiastes 7:10).
According to:

And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.

I John 3:5‭-‬6 NKJV
This version shows that it’s impossible for the Christians to sin. But Check this:
You know that Christ came to take away people’s sins. There is no sin in Christ. So whoever lives in Christ does not continue to sin. If they continue to sin, they have never really understood Christ and have never known him.

1 John 3:5‭-‬6 ERV
The implication is that this is not a matter of trying harder. Rather, it is the equivalent of saying, “A fish cannot remain on land for long because its nature is to seek water.” A fish could flop onto the shore and survive for a short time. But it was not made for land and cannot continue there. When we are born again, our natures change, and we cannot continue in sin. Christ not only erases our past sin; He also transforms our hearts so that we no longer desire it (Colossians 2:13–14).
The difference between a sinning unbeliever and a sinning believer is that one loves his sin while the other hates it. The believer who stumbles in his walk with the Lord regrets it, confesses it, wishes to never do it again and seeks to appropriate God’s power and grace to avoid it. He doesn’t consider how much he can sin and still be considered a Christian. Rather, he considers how he can avoid even the appearance of sin in the future
Paul asked, “What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?” (Romans 6:1–2). Although Christians will still sin after being saved, the heart change that the Holy Spirit brings will result in a new attitude toward sin. Sin cannot continue being a lifestyle choice if we have surrendered our lives to Jesus. That’s what it means to say that Jesus is Lord (Romans 10:9; Colossians 2:6). We have a new boss. We cannot be followers of Christ and followers of sin at the same time. They are going in opposite directions (Luke 9:23; 14:33).
  The Bible to says that:

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

I John 1:8‭-‬10 NKJV
Do Christians sin? Yes. Do they willfully continue in sin? No. Scripture indicates that, while we will always “fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23), we have the hope that the power of God is at work in us to “make us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image” (2 Corinthians 3:18,
